Choosing camera equipment is very subjective.

What I think is a good set up may not appeal to another pro shooter. There are no 'bad' cameras just 'bad' shooters. A $50,000.00 camera is not going to make you a better photographer if you don't know the basic theory.

I have used most brands, from medium format to 35mm.

Camera ergonomics is a make or break deal for me. Do the controls, functions, buttons and dials feel right? Does the camera balance well in my hands?

It's a personal choice.

I started out many years ago shooting with a Minolta 101B. It now lives in a box some where!

Today however, I use Sony's classy 24.6 MP Flagship camera, the Alpha 900 and their superlative range of

Carl Zeiss and Sony lenses.

I have just returned (August '09) from a major photo assignment in S.E. Asia and the Sony Alpha 900 outfit performed beautifully. I shot in extreme heat, extreme humidity and monsoon down pours that flooded streets in Phnom Penh.

And the image quality? Well.... stunning!

And the camera gear and lenses? Outstanding!

What did I use to process thousands of massive files?

The impressive Sony VGN-AW37GY Notebook.

What's next you ask?

A major shoot is planned starting next month (Oct '09) that will be exhibited in Moscow in 2010!

The weapon of choice?

You guessed it, Sony's Flagship Alpha 900.
